Berkeley Tool Library

In Berkeley, a place where people love to share, there is the concept of not just having libraries for books and media, but also necessary tools. Any Berkeley resident older than 18 can take advantage of the opportunity to borrow expensive tools for free.

The tool library is a small building next to a traditional library that neatly stores hundreds of tools. They have tools for gardening, home projects, construction, and my favorite, cooking. There is a large variety of available tools, so you are likely to find something you can use for your project.

The tool library is manned by friendly staff who are knowledgable about the tools and can point you in the right direction.
