Coupa Cafe
Coupa Cafe
Coupa Cafe is famous in the South Bay for being a cross between a quality coffee shop and a proper sit-down restaurant. Coupa Cafe proudly serves coffee, pastries, smoothies, desserts, and full-fledged breakfast options alongside salads, crepes, paninis, wraps, and burgers. It delivers expertly-made food and drink items for an inexpensive price and welcomes guests to use the tables for as long as they like,
There's a lot I could say about this restaurant, but simply put, it is a fantastic place to choose to visit. The food and beverages are yummy. The prices are competitive. Their tables make a great place to eat, drink, or meet, and Coupa is a restaurant that does its best for the community and the environment. It's even part of the South Bay culture by now, a place favorited by Silicon Valley executives and common folks as well.
Coupa Cafe has been family owned since 2004 and is a shop bursting with personality. They take real pride in what they do, as they serve a loyal fan base, care about the local community, and try to give back. They proudly promote fair trade and organic ingredients. Their Arabica coffee beans are locally roasted, and they support local farmers and sustainable agricultural practices. Their commitment to the community and the environment never takes away from flavor or texture, nor does it add unnecessarily to the bill, and the popularity of the restaurant does not mess up the casual and comfortable vibes of the eating area.
The experience at downtown Palo Alto location is incredible because it is extremely comfortable and relaxed while serving top-quality food and coffee. A cozy cafe decorated in warm, earthy tones that gives off exotic Mediterranean vibes, it is a great place to come alone, bring a friend or colleague, or arrive as a group. With indoor and outdoor seating, the cafe draws both people who prefer to work alone and people looking to chat in a casual yet professional environment.
The cafe features a huge counter along one side; this counter holds glass cases that boast delicious chocolates, pastries, and beverages, all the while serving as the formal barrier between you and the coffee-shop half of this half coffee shop/half restaurant establishment. As a customer, you pay at the counter or order through the app and then pick a place to sit and wait for the food to be ready, and then you can pick it up at the end of the counter toward the front of the establishment. If you ordered an espresso beverage, they will make it for you behind this important counter; otherwise, your food will be prepared deliciously in the kitchen at the back of the building.
The menu is full of scrumptious highlights that largely will not put you back more than $20 a person. It's a great place to visit in the morning because they take breakfast seriously, serving coffee with the perfect amount of depth of flavor and some of my favorite classic waffles of all time. But if you come for lunch, you may be treated to one of their beautiful, nutritious, and interesting salads--or you could have a chance to figure out why so many people like their gigantic, messy, and irresistible burgers. The smoothies also stand out for the perfect sweetness and texture; they always compliment the meal nicely.
