Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood Restaurant

This restaurant, which was established in 1989, offers a very fine dining experience that is unlike any other in the area.

First of all, this large restaurant features large windows and is situated along the shore, offering exquisite views of the bay. You can see the Bay Bridge and the city of San Francisco beyond the sparkling waves of the bay that occupy the foreground. The view is mesmerizingly beautiful.

Not only that, but the whole dining room is gorgeous. The tables are clad with white tablecloths, and the padded chairs are draped in an attractive light blue that matches the trim on the walls and the cloth napkins. Colorful flowers dangle from elaborate chandeliers, and there are more flowers in vases on the carefully set tables. In the background, you can hear some soft but nice Chinese instrumental music. Everything is picture-perfect, and the ambiance is extremely appetizing!

Beyond the delightful view and the beauty of the eating area, the quality of the food stands out. This restaurant serves only high-end Chinese cuisine. Everything tastes amazing.

The menu is extensive, but the specialty is seafood. All of the seafood is very fresh, but some of it is even freshly caught; there is a set of fish tanks on the way in where they keep some sea creatures to be killed and prepared as soon as they are ordered. The seafood was spiced with Chinese spices and mixed with vegetables and other items that added some flavor and texture.

Beyond the seafood, the beef, pork, and poultry dishes are quite good as well. As with the seafood, everything came nicely seasoned with classic Chinese flavors, and the dishes were garnished with all sorts of interesting cooked produce.

Everything at this restaurant is top-notch, high-quality stuff, even the appetizers. The baked and steamed pork buns were incredible, as were the jumbo shrimp dumplings. The buns themselves had a nice, fluffy, bread-like quality, and the jumbo shrimp dumplings were packed with extremely fresh shrimp.

All in all, this restaurant is fancier than I normally try, but this made it all the more of a special treat. It was extremely yummy, and the stunning eating area and view made the trip a very special experience.
