The famous burger chain In-N-Out Burger has a restaurant in San Francisco that you might want to try! With long lines spanning into the street at most hours of the day, this fast food franchise is no secret. People know and love it for its great food and low prices.

The chain stays true to a small and simple menu, plus a secret menu for those who know what they are doing. The menu and the secret menu are available online (see the above link). Ultimately, they stick to what they do best and are known for: variations on burgers, fries, and shakes. It's perfect place to stop for a casual meal as you walk along the shore.

In-N-Out embraces simplicity. The recipes are an old-fashioned type of simple yet extremely tasty. With the burgers, we have the combination of fluffy soft buns, fresh lettuce, tomato, and perfectly seared patties creating a symphony of flavors for our taste buds (onions--cooked or raw--are optional); you could have a single, a double, a triple, or even a quadruple burger. For those who wish to opt out of the fluffy, soft buns, they also serve a flying Dutchman, an onion burger without a bun. What's unique is not the concept of a burger but the balance of traditional flavors and textures that seems to be done right each time.

As for the fries, they are salty and crispy to perfection. They are also an appetizing yellow color with the perfect balance between a soft interior and a crispy exterior, and they're pretty addictive. The fries make an excellent side dish, pairing nicely with the burgers, or you could try them loaded on their own; I-N-Out is famous for its secret menu "animal fries," which are a very clever invention that uses the burger sauces and meat to top off a serving of loaded fries.

Not to forget about the dessert. The wonderfully sweet strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla milkshakes complete a hearty fast-food meal in an incredible fashion. Again, they are simple and old-fashioned but beautifully executed.

Dessert N Spice: Who in Berkeley wants coffee and delightful sweet treats?

Dessert N Spice This cute little bakery can be found along University Avenue in Berkeley. The bakery is not large, so there are only about three tables and a few more stools along the bar against the wall. It's a nice place to stop for or pick up a sweet treat. Entering the bakery, you will see sunlight streaming through the big windows and three big glass cases illuminated by bright lights. Inside these cases are premium pastries like specialty cakes, muffins, baklava, croissants, cookies, and macaroons. Each one looks like a work of art.  They also serve caffeinated beverages. They have an americano, a caramel macchiato, a latte, a caramel latte, a dark mocha, a white chocolate mocha, steamed milk, hot chocolate, and chai tea. iniBurger: Juicy and Halal burger chain capturing the hearts of the SF Bay?

iniBurger I enjoyed my trip to iniBurger, the Halal burger chain that has several locations around Northern California. It was my first time trying this place, and I was very impressed. It is a brightly colored restaurant where you can order and pay either at the counter or on one of their kiosks. They serve burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, and fries. The prices are not displayed on the menus on display behind the counter, but they stay in a reasonable range, for the most part between $10 and $20.  There is room to sit in their brightly colored restaurant or outside. The music is relatively loud inside, and the atmosphere is lively and fun.   I ordered the Americano burger and had to admit it was a succulent and enticing creation. It was a juicy burger with a special sauce that tasted like pepper. I could taste the charred edges of the patty and the salty, savory seasonings on it.
