Mariposa Baking Company is a bakery committed to making baked goods that are gluten-free but do not sacrifice taste, texture, or appearance. 

I came across this business by word of mouth. Several of my acquaintances spoke very highly of it, so I decided to give it a try. 

Despite being a small shop limited to gluten-free items, the business is filled with options. They carry pastries such as muffins, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, and cookies. They also carry breads, pastas, flours, and pizza doughs, as well as a menu full of gluten-free sandwiches. Everything is gluten-free but tastes incredible.

Looking around, the walls are lined with pastries, especially beautifully decorated cookies. The shelves and freezers hold the breads, pastas, and pizza doughs. Behind the glass case are more pastries like muffins and cinnamon rolls. There is also a menu of sandwiches that they will make fresh for you sitting out near the register. Nonetheless, there is plenty of space to sit, eat, and enjoy. All in all, it is a very cute shop that is fun to explore.

The prices are higher than a typical bakery, but you pay for a premium product that looks and tastes amazing while being gluten free! I highly recommend this place as a great place to get a treat.

I highly recommend trying it; I frequently come back for more!  When it comes to their sushi and sashimi, the fish is always extremely fresh. When this fish is paired with freshly prepared, crunchy nori and perfectly seasoned Japanese rice, the combination is incredible. The flavors and textures balance each other perfectly! Purple Onion Cafe If you are ever in Los Gatos and are looking to grab a quick but satisfying bite, this is a great place to stop! Open daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, this cute little cafe has something on its menu for almost everyone. This shop has an impressive coffee menu that includes espresso, americano, macchiatos, cappuccinos, lattes, cafe au laits, mochas, drip coffees, matcha lattes, chai lattes, and hot chocolates. You can add oat milk, almond milk, half and half, and a variety of simple syrups/flavors. Their coffee is masterfully handcrafted with lots of care and love.  I tried their mocha and was blown away by the superbness! The drink was warm with a thick, velvety texture.
